Practical knowledge is something worth sharing. At Ashmore Men’s Shed, members pass on their experience through demonstrations, conversations and shared projects.
Experience shared, one project at a time
Members bring backgrounds in trades, engineering, construction and other areas. Working together gives newer members a chance to ask questions and learn from that experience.
Whether the task involves timber, metal or CNC equipment, learning can happen at a comfortable pace, with help nearby.
More than a useful skill
A finished piece is satisfying, but the time spent making it matters too. Projects offer opportunities to practise patience, solve a problem together and get to know someone.
Sharing skills also helps the Shed contribute to the wider community. The knowledge members bring continues to be useful when it is passed on.
