Built on skills. Held together by mateship.
A practical project is a good starting point. The friendships that grow around it are what make our Shed special.

A place to feel
part of something.
Ashmore Men’s Shed is a community organisation where local men can get together, stay active and enjoy good company. We work on practical projects, share knowledge and make time for conversation.
People arrive with different experiences and interests. Some are retired, some are semi-retired and some are simply looking for a new connection. Everyone brings something to the conversation.
Our focus is on a welcoming environment, social connection and the wellbeing that comes from doing something worthwhile with others.

Tools, ideas
and shared know-how.
Woodworking and metalworking are part of Shed life, alongside IT and CNC activities. Our workshop spaces give members a place to build, repair, experiment and learn.
Knowledge is shared naturally: ask a question, watch a demonstration or work alongside someone who has done it before. You don’t need to start as an expert.
There is also plenty of value in a cuppa and a chat. Being together matters just as much as keeping busy.
Good for the men.
Good for the community.
Men’s Sheds give people a place to connect through shared activities. The movement recognises the value of companionship, purpose and practical work in everyday life.
Here on the Gold Coast, our members use their time and skills to support local schools, charities, sporting clubs and community groups. Building, repairing and restoring are ways we can help.
If your group has a project in mind, get in touch to discuss what might be possible.
